Share the Love of Reading with Children through Book Start

Book Start Early Literacy Program LogoShare the love of reading with a child! Volunteers go through a two-hour training session which takes place at Philip S. Miller Library, Castle Rock. After this training the volunteer is ready to be placed in a childcare center. The next session takes place from 9:30 AM to Noon, April 21st--the third Wednesday of the month.

To book your spot, stop by your library, call 303-791-7323 or register here. The Book Start Early Literacy Program is an inter-generational project that brings quality literature to children in childcare centers throughout Douglas County. Volunteers who participate in this program need no experience, must provide their own transportation, must love reading, have a clear reading voice, and a desire to read to children. The commitment is two hours per week for a minimum of three months.
